The fifteenth day of our first phase teaching practice began on a familiar note. We reached the school by 9:00 AM and signed the register at the office. The day started with the morning prayer, pledge, and national anthem. I had two substitution classes today. During the 2nd period, I handled a Physics class in 8D, teaching Measurement of Pressure from the unit Pressure. In the 3rd period, I had another substitution class in 8B, where I revised previously covered Chemistry topics and engaged students with a few interactive questions to refresh their learning. At 12:15 PM, we performed our regular noon meal serving duty. The afternoon session was calm, with no scheduled classes for me. After the final bell and the national anthem at 3:45 PM, we signed the register and returned home.
π§ͺ Day 16 – Chemistry in Action
We stepped into the sixteenth day of our first phase teaching practice with a sense of routine and purpose. After signing the register at 9:00 AM, the day began with the school prayer, pledge, and national anthem. I had a regular class during the 1st period in 8B, where I taught Mendeleev’s Periodic Law from the unit Elements and Compounds. During the 2nd and 3rd periods, optional observations for the Social Science and Mathematics departments were conducted, offering us valuable insights into different teaching methods. In the 5th period, I had a substitution class again in 8B, this time covering Chemical Formula of Molecules. At 12:15 PM, we carried out our usual noon meal serving duty. With no further classes in the afternoon, the day ended peacefully with the national anthem at 3:45 PM before we returned home.
π Day 17 – A Lesson in Peace
The seventeenth day began with the usual assembly, which included a short talk by Class 9 students commemorating Hiroshima Day. Their words reminded us of the importance of peace and the devastating impact of war. I had a substitution class during the 2nd period in 8D, where I taught Pressure and Surface Area from the unit Pressure. At 11:30 AM, the school gathered for a March Past rehearsal in preparation for Sports Day. Students from NCC, JRC, and the three house teams—Yellow, Pink, and Red—participated with enthusiasm. At 12:15 PM, we performed our noon meal duty. In the 5th period, I took another substitution class in 8B, teaching Chemical Formula of Elements from Elements and Compounds. From 2:30 PM onwards, PTA meetings were conducted in all classes following the mid-term exam. The day ended with the national anthem at 3:45 PM.
π♀️ Day 18 – Sports Day Spirit and Creative Learning
The eighteenth day of our first phase teaching practice began with the usual routine. We reached the school by 9:00 AM and attended the morning assembly. During the 4th period, I taught Chemical Formula of Compounds in class 8B using an innovative model, which made the lesson more interesting for the students. At 12:15 PM, we performed our noon meal duty. In the afternoon, the Sports Day program began with a colourful March Past by NCC, Guides, JRC, and house teams. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Maneesh Rasheed, HOD of Physical Education at TKM College of Engineering. We helped in organizing events, arranging students, and preparing certificates. The day ended with the national anthem at 3:45 PM, after which we signed the register and returned home.
π Day 19 – Champions of the Field
The nineteenth day began with our usual arrival and the morning assembly at 9:20 AM.
