As part of the B.Ed curriculum, an Art and Theoretical Drama Education session was conducted at our college. The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by our Principal, who greeted all the students and introduced the guest of honor, Satheesh G. Nair from Venjaramoodu. He is a renowned artist, television and radio actor, teacher, writer, and an inspirational personality who has directed over 70 dramas. He is also a winner in mono-acting, mime, and other art forms.
Session Highlights
1. Theoretical Session:
Satheesh G. Nair began the session by introducing the concept of drama and its essential elements. He elaborated on critical aspects, including:
*Body language
*Sound modulation
*Finer points of dramatic performance
2. Practical Sessions:
The program transitioned into hands-on learning, allowing students to implement the ideas discussed. Across four sessions, different aspects of drama and performance were explored in depth.
Each session covered a distinct topic, enabling students to gain comprehensive knowledge and practice in the art of drama.
Conclusion
The class was engaging and enriching, offering valuable insights into the art of drama and performance. It was a unique opportunity to learn from an inspiring and talented individual like Satheesh G.
