Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
As part of the B.Ed curriculum, we had the second day of the workshop on Art Education and Theoretical Drama, focusing on drama performances. The session began with a warm welcome address from our principal, and all students were eager to perform and watch the drama presentations. The class was divided into 20 groups based on their optional subjects, and the program kicked off at 10:00 AM.
Drama Performances
Each group performed with enthusiasm and dedication, delivering varied performances. While some groups delivered highly engaging performances, others were more ordinary. Our group, numbered 17, performed the drama "3 Koottukarude Rodhanam," based on the topic States of Matter. The play featured six characters:
•Solid (Nimmi)
•Liquid (Vaishnavi)
•Gas (Simi Saji)
•Teacher (played by me)
•Shruthi (Adithya)
•Vinod (Noel)
As the teacher, I guided the audience through the states of matter, with the other characters effectively portraying their respective roles.
Evaluation and Recognition
After all the groups performed, the resource person provided feedback on our strengths and areas for improvement. Our group scored 9 out of 10, and we received positive feedback for using the stage effectively and conveying the subject smoothly to the audience. The performance was engaging, and the recognition for our efforts made it a truly unforgettable experience, especially since it was our first time performing a drama.
The session concluded at 4:30 PM, marking the end of a memorable and enriching workshop.
