Art and Craft Workshop : 17 October 2024

Teaching, as we all know, is a combination of artistic and scientific abilities. An EDU101.3-related arts session was held on October 17, 2024, to develop our creative abilities. An exceptionally talented individual named N. Gopalakrishnan led the arts workshop. After our principal, Mr. Riju John, sir, gave his opening remarks, Gopalakrishnan, sir, took over the session. He alerted us to the necessity of an instructor possessing effective artistic abilities. He presented us with a range of painting styles.

A instruction on fabric painting was the first session. We painted the artwork after the resource person provided us with an outline. The following session was enjoyable and included a glass painting workshop. Sir presented a quick overview of different painting styles during the lunch break. Bottle art was the next activity. He provided us with a wealth of fresh bottle art inspiration. Additionally, I had never used M-seal clay to create bottle art before. He then gave us instructions on how to create greeting cards and paper flowers. The session came to an end after that.

For every one of us, the workshop was a first experience. We gained a fresh perspective on the methods of instruction we might use in our classrooms, believing that education should not only focus on academic knowledge but also on a child's overall growth, which can be facilitated by these kinds of activities.
