π₯️E-Content Development on Characteristics of Electric Charges
E-content plays an important role in modern education by integrating technology with teaching and learning. It makes the learning process more engaging, interactive, and effective by using digital resources such as text, images, audio, and video. In science education, e-content helps students understand abstract concepts clearly through visual explanations and narration. It also supports self-learning by allowing learners to access lessons anytime and anywhere, making learning more flexible and student-centered.
The e-content developed is for Class VIII Science on the topic “Characteristics of Electric Charges.” The lesson explains electric charge, structure of the atom, charging by gain or loss of electrons, and the characteristics of electric charges such as attraction and repulsion. PowerPoint was used to prepare the presentation slides, AZ Screen Recorder was used to record the lesson, and InShot was used for video editing. Simple language, relevant images, and audio narration were used to make the content clear and learner-friendly.
π The instructional video related to this e-content is uploaded below.
πWeek 5 of Second Phase Teaching Practice at St. Margaret’s Girls High School, Kundara
πΌ Day 19 – Strengthening Concepts Through Remedial Teaching
The nineteenth day began as we reached the school at 9:00 AM and signed the register. The morning assembly at 9:20 AM included the prayer, pledge, thought, news reading, and national anthem. During the 1st period, I taught Chemistry in 9B, handling the topic Surface Area of Reactants and Temperature from the unit Chemical Kinetics. Students engaged well with the examples provided. At 12:15 PM, we completed our regular noon meal serving duty. During the 5th period, I conducted a remedial class in 9B based on the diagnostic test findings. This session helped reinforce concepts where students needed additional support. The remaining periods had no assigned classes, allowing time for teaching aid preparation and updating records. The day concluded at 3:45 PM with the national anthem.
