Oxi Match
As part of my B.Ed. teaching practice, I developed an innovative teaching aid called “Oxi Match” to make learning oxidation numbers simple and engaging. The model is designed with element names on one side and oxidation numbers on the other. Students match the correct pairs using connectors.
A special feature of Oxi Match is the buzzer, which produces a sound when the correct match is made. This instant feedback excites students and encourages active participation. The model uses low-cost materials like foam board, chart paper, wires, a 9V battery, and a buzzer, making it eco-friendly and classroom-friendly.
This interactive approach turns a difficult chemistry concept into a fun, hands-on activity. Oxi Match promotes curiosity, group learning, and better understanding, making chemistry learning more effective and enjoyable.
