📚Week 2 of Second Phase Teaching Practice at St. Margaret’s Girls High School, Kundara

 🌼 Day 4 – A Smooth and Productive Teaching Day

The fourth day began with our arrival at school at 9:00 AM, followed by signing the register. The morning assembly at 9:20 AM included the school prayer, pledge, thought for the day, news reading, and national anthem. During the 1st period, I handled a Chemistry class in 9B, teaching the topic Oxidation and Reduction from the unit Redox Reactions. The students remained attentive, and the class progressed smoothly with clear explanations and relatable examples. At 12:15 PM, we completed the noon meal serving duty. The afternoon session had no classes for me, so I used the time effectively for preparing teaching aids for the upcoming lessons. The day ended at 3:45 PM with the national anthem, marking a well-organized and productive school day.





🌺 Day 5 – PTA Day and a Focused Physics Session

The fifth day began at 9:00 AM and attended the regular assembly at 9:20 AM. I had no classes in the morning session, allowing time for planning and preparation. At 12:15 PM, we performed our noon meal serving duty. During the 5th period, I handled a Physics class in 8C, teaching Characteristics of Electric Charges. The students listened attentively, and the class was handled effectively. In the 7th and 8th periods, the School PTA meeting was held based on the recent mid-term examination. We assisted with organizing and coordinating the arrangements. The day concluded at 3:45 PM with the national anthem.


🌿 Day 6 – Kalolsavam Practice & Teaching Preparation

The sixth day began with the usual assembly at 9:20 AM. Since I had no classes in the morning session, I dedicated the time to preparing teaching aids for upcoming lessons. At 12:15 PM, we took part in the noon meal serving duty. In the afternoon, practice sessions for the Sub-District School Kalolsavam were conducted, and we helped students during their preparations. The day ended at 3:45 PM with the national anthem, after which we returned home.


🌻 Day 7 – Teaching Redox Concepts & Kalolsavam Preparation

The seventh day began at 9:00 AM with attendance and the morning assembly. In the morning session, I handled a substitution class in 9B, teaching the topic Oxidising Agent and Reducing Agent from the unit Redox Reactions. Students actively participated, making the class engaging. At 12:15 PM, we carried out our noon meal duty. In the afternoon, Kalolsavam practice sessions continued, filled with student enthusiasm and energy. The day concluded at 3:45 PM with the national anthem.



🎉 Day 8 – A Joyful Children’s Day Celebration

The eighth day was filled with joy as the school celebrated Children’s Day.
A special assembly at 9:20 AM included:
• Prayer, pledge, and thought for the day
• A message by Fr. Terry
• An inspiring talk by Kanishka of class 8B
• A touching presentation by a student dressed as Jawaharlal Nehru
• Energetic dance performances by students

Sweets were distributed, making the morning lively and festive. During the 3rd period, I handled a substitution class in 9B, teaching Oxidation Number from Redox Reactions. At 11:30 AM, a drawing competition was conducted in the science lab as part of the day’s celebrations. At 12:15 PM, we completed our noon meal duty. In the 7th period, I taught Static Electricity in 8C. The day ended with the national anthem at 3:45 PM, marking a joyful and memorable celebration.
