🎢 Blog Title: A Melodic Journey – Music Composition Workshop Experience

As part of our third-semester Art and Aesthetic Education course, we had a Music Composition Workshop class. The session began at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome address by Sreelekshmi Miss, Assistant Professor of Art Education. The resource person for the session was Mr. Anayadi Rakesh, who guided us through the different aspects of music.

In the morning session, he explained the basics of music, the different notes, and taught songs related to each note. He also taught us a beautiful prayer song, which made the atmosphere lively and spiritual. At 2:00 p.m., the students were divided into groups of five to six members. Each group was given half an hour to write and compose a song based on their own subject. The presentation began at 2:30 p.m., and all the groups performed enthusiastically. In my group of five members, we chose the topic “Atom” and beautifully sang the song we composed. Every group performed creatively and made the session enjoyable.

The workshop ended with a vote of thanks given by Fr. Terry T. It was a wonderful session that helped us learn how to compose music in different ways related to various topics. The experience truly enhanced our creativity and appreciation for the art of music.
