"Sports Day Highlights: Effort, Energy, and Encouragement"๐Ÿ…๐Ÿƒ‍♀️

                    SPORTS DAY 2K25

On Tuesday, February 25, our college hosted the much-awaited annual sports meet as part of the B.Ed. curriculum. While the first semester focused on games like cricket and football, the second semester shifted the spotlight to athletics events. The program commenced at 9:00 AM with an impressive march past, led by Sports Secretary Sheba Susan Philip, followed by the three houses—Red, Blue, and Green—each accompanied by their respective leaders and flags. The Principal officially welcomed the gathering, after which our Chief Guest, Fr. M. Jacob, gave a motivational address and inaugurated the meet with a shot put throw.

The day's events included a variety of track and field competitions such as the 100m, 200m, 400m races, relay events, standing long jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, throwball, and long jump. I was proud to be a part of the Yellow team, under the capable leadership of Sincy Maria Sam, and participated in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. I was thrilled to win first place in all three events, which greatly boosted my confidence. Receiving certificates from Principal Riju Sir and Nisha Sir was a proud moment for me.

Behind the scenes, everything was well-organized with special committees ensuring smooth arrangements for refreshments and first aid. The prize distribution ceremony began shortly after the events ended at 1:30 PM, with David as the anchor and the Union Chairman delivering the welcome speech. Our Principal shared a few words of appreciation, and the certificates were handed out by him along with Nisha Ma’am, while Lal Sir, our physical education teacher, concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks. The entire day was filled with energy, excitement, and encouragement, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
